The Hancock County Senior Wellness Center began its Division of In-Home Services in January 2005 with a light housekeeping service entitled CHORES. Since its beginning, In-Home Services have grown and continue to expand. Later that same year, the Committee for Hancock County Senior Citizen's, Inc. Board of Directors was approved to provide Personal Care through West Virginia Medicaid and the Aged and Disabled Waiver Program, and the rest is history. Personal Care Service was added as both a Medicaid provider, and on a Private Pay Basis. October 2006 saw the addition of the FAIR (Family Alzheimer In-Home Respite) Program through the WV Bureau of Senior Services. With the passage of table gaming in West Virginia a brand new program, Lighthouse, was added in July of 2007. The Hancock County Senior Wellness Center and its Division of In-Home Services is proud to provide these services to senior and disabled residents of Hancock County. Well-trained caregivers provide these much needed services, seven days a week, between the hours of 8a.m. - 8p.m. A supportive office staff and registered nurse provide scheduling, assessments, and answers to all your questions.
